Siegenia TITAN AF hardware components for aluminium windows
In the standard equipment of Premium 86 windows there are the following elements:
- KoPiBo mushroom cams
KoPiBo mushroom cams are basic components of Siegenia TITAN AF hardware for aluminium windows with 16 mm groove. They are present in the elements attached to the sash. Their automatic adjustment ensures smooth interaction with the strikers regardless of weather changes. This makes it easy to lock and unlock the window.
- Tilt striker with rails
One of the distinctive features of Siegenia TITAN AF hardware for aluminium windows is the bottom striker. It holds the mushroom cam firmly in place, both when the handle is in the closed position and when the sash is tilted. Special rails work with the roller that is part of the lower corner.
- Lower corner with roller
Part of the lower corner is a roller which acts as a sash lifter. Thanks to it, the sash gently lifts (when the roller rolls over the rails), which makes its placement in the frame much less effort-consuming. The rotating mushroom cam interacts smoothly with the tilt striker.
- Steel striker plates
Striker plates are the basic frame components of the hardware. They cooperate with movable KoPiBo mushroom cams. The combination of steel and plastic ensures a low friction coefficient. As a result, the interaction between these components and the mushroom cams is smooth and guarantees comfortable use of the window.
- Microventilation
As standard, in aluminium windows with Siegenia TITAN AF hardware there is microventilation. For a small gap between sash and a frame, a corner in combination with a special striker is responsible. To use this function, it is necessary to turn the handle so that it is located between the tilt and “open” position (45° up from horizontal).
- Mishandling device
Mishandling device is an element located in the upper corner of the sash. Its use ensures that the handle cannot be turned until the sash is fully in the frame. In case of trying to do this with the window open or tilted, resistance is encountered.
- Sash closing support
A top stay from the Siegenia TITAN AF system in aluminium windows supports the closing of the sash, which makes it much easier to use the joinery – especially wide structures. Its advantage is, among others, anti-slam device in tilt position.
- Hinges with a load capacity of 130 kg
As standard, in aluminium constructions with a 16 mm hardware groove there are hinges with a load capacity of 130 kg. These elements enable the opening and tilting of window sashes.
Optional components for aluminium windows
Among the optional components available for aluminium windows with a 16mm groove are:
- Hidden hinges
The hidden hinges are completely concealed in the space between the frame and the sash. They therefore have a beneficial effect on the aesthetics of the construction. What’s more, this type of hardware makes it easy to keep the joinery clean. Compared to standard hinges, they also have a higher load capacity – 150 kg.
- Security striker plates
Security striker plates make it possible to create a structure with increased resistance to burglary. The use of steel in combination with plastic ensures smooth operation of the components with KoPiBo mushroom cams.
- Summer-winter night vent
A component that allows for the change of ventilation according to the weather. The tilt degree is modified by rotating the movable element. This ensures adequate fresh air in the interior in winter without draughts.
