Wooden Patio FS – properties
Siegenia PORTAL FS PLUS hardware is used in wooden folding doors from MS Windows and Doors offer. It is a solution for fold and slide structures that allows up to seven sashes to be easily connected together. The weight of each may not be more than 80 kg. This makes it possible to create a 6.3 m wide passage. An unquestionable advantage of this solution is the freedom of interior design. Additional advantages are the flexible hardware process, as well as the convenience of using folding doors.
The most important properties of Patio FS wooden structures:
- large space – when the sashes are opened, the width of the passage is not limited;
- comfortable use thanks to bogies with ball bearings, which enable the smooth movement of the sash;
- trouble-free operation of folding doors due to reinforced hinges (optionally with E-look surface with very good corrosion resistance);
- possibility to use tilt and turn sashes;
- low threshold available (optional);
- accessories matching other products – colours of handles and covers the same as in the windows.
Patio FS – product lines
Inward opening wooden folding doors are one of the products in MS Windows and Doors offer. In addition to its exceptional functionality, it is also distinguished by the availability of various aesthetic variants. As a result, the structure can be perfectly integrated into the body of the building and meet interior design requirements. The range includes the following product lines: Modern, Old, Art, Soft and Classic. They provide design variety in terms of the appearance of the glazing rim, the glazing bead as well as the external profile of the frame and sash.
Patio FS sashes and frames – thickness
In addition to the availability of five product lines, wooden folding doors can also differ in the thickness of the profiles used. Patio FS comes in three variants – 68, 80 and 92 mm. Below is a sample section of a fold and slide construction (92 mm profile, Modern line).

Patio FS – hardware and types of thresholds
Siegenia PORTAL FS PLUS hardware is used in Patio FS inward opening folding doors. Their use allows for many functions (including tilt and turn) that are present in the fittings of standard wooden windows .
Due to the way you open Patio FS, there are three types of construction:
- the sash guidance is located on the upper part of frame,
- the sash guidance is located on the lower part of frame,
- aluminium threshold solution (threshold equipped with a thermal break to prevent the formation of condensation).

Bogie wheels for easy use
Large bogie wheels with ball bearings made of special material guarantee a comfortable use of the construction. They make the sashes move smoothly and therefore folding them requires little effort.
Hinges for quiet operation
The hinges used in wooden folding doors are designed to function outdoors. They are characterised by resistance to weathering. Properly selected materials ensure trouble-free operation.
